Hybrid golf clubs are the hottest clubs in golf today. Giga Golf has a hot selling set of irons in the last 60 days. It’s their new Power Max Revelation hybrid set.

Check out these clubs. They offer a seemless progression of 4 iron technologies to create a set with forgiveness and playablity from the wedges to the long irons.

The pros use hybrids as well as name brands. Custom build your clubs for less than you would spend on name brand clubs. They use the same design principles, materials, shafts and grips as the name brands and they perform as well if not better

The Golf Swing

When working on you golf swing, if your body stops turning at any point in the golf swing, inconsistency take over.

You don’t want your arms to take over and inconsistency is the result. You want smoothness. A smooth swing is always turning. The rotation of your body gives your swing power and consistency gives control as your body turns to face the line of flight

Rotate your body by keeping your shoulders perpendicular to your spine. Do not tilt your shoulders. Your shoulders and hips should turn around a fixed spinal angle without tilting the shaft of the golf club. Forearms and hands don’t move.

Keep your chin slightly up. Keep your head still and your eyes focused on the ball. Assuming you are right handed, the weight distribution at your fullest part should be about 85% on the inside of the right foot. You don’t want to dip your left shoulder and head and accomplish your turn by ending up with the majority of your weight on your left foot

Practice keeping the shaft rotating without tilting it and keep it level to the ground. Upon finishing your stroke your weight will have moved from the right to the left side. Your hips and bellybutton should finish facing your intended target. Your eyes and head focused on the ball as long as possible

Locking in Your Interlocking Grip

Golfing great Jack Nicklaus uses the interlocking grip. It is more complex than both the overlapping and the baseball grips and is designed to get your hands to work in harmony during the swing. Practice is the only way to make it second nature.

Many recreational golfers complain that the interlocking grip is uncomfortable and that their hands don’t seem to function properly during the swing. Of all the swing changes you will experiment with, this one will probably be the most difficult because it will feel the most awkward. This may be due to gripping the club incorrectly.

A simple test to determine if you are gripping the club correctly using the interlocking technique is to old the club vertically in front of you. Place your left hand on the club as you would when taking your grip. Next place your right hand on the club by sliding the right little index finger between the index and middle fingers of the left hand. Now that you accomplished that, lower the club to your contact position.

If for your hand is turned too far under the club in a putting position, start the process all over. You have to get this part right otherwise you will be prone to a duck hook or a block.

Try gripping the club with the little finger of the left hand only and partially interlocking with the fingers of the left. When you lower the club to the contact position, you should find the palm of your right hand facing the target. This is neither "strong" nor "weak," grip. It is designed to work in harmony with the left hand during your swing.

By practicing gripping the club in this manner frequently it will becomes ingrained in you sub conscious. It may feel awkward at first but practice until it becomes habit.

The Mental Game

When you are at the green you need to have a clear mind when you are standing over the ball and ready to hit. Before you approach you ball and after the shot you need to control your thoughts. Taking all things into consideration, a clear thought out relaxing round can help you have a more enjoyable round and score higher.Warming up and streching gets the blood flowing and into the right golf mindset. To get the muscles loose and the blood flowing before teeing off on the first hole take two clubs and swing them about 15 to 20 times in a full easy golf swing.

Before you hit the ball think about where you would like to hit it. Pick a target in the fairway or on the green where you want your ball to be. Envision the shot you are about to make. When you are ready to make the shot clear your mind and commit to the shot. If your shot does not work out spend a very little time in analysing

Practice at the driving range. Don't practice on the golf course!

Take in the surroundings as you walk to the ball. Enjoy nature, the breezes and the little things that happen on the course, the people you are with. Try to relax; it's precious.

Be aware of the yardage from the green. As an aid, there are usually markers on the fairways. Decide on what type of shot and what club you will use and how you are going to play each hole before you tee off.

For example if the next hole is a par four. You might decide to use a 5 wood, 9 iron and a one putt for par. Chose 3 shots you are confident in hitting. Arnold Palmer says, concentration comes out of a combination of confidence and hunger. A plan helps you relax and concentrate more. If a shot doesn’t work out you’ll improvise, but planning before hand helps.

Most weekend golfers have problems with bunker shots so you may want to plan to avoid hazzards if they are too difficult. Thinking about your round, or the next shot can really help you lower your score. Being honest with yourself and avoiding those shots plays to your strengths and lowers your scores. Save the practice shots for the driving range and be honest with yourself. That is not coping out, that’s integrity.

Off season golf power training

Any error in swing plane, timing, or sequence of your swing will cause your golf game to suffer. Much depends on your overall fitness. Tiger Woods is considered on of the fittest golfers and his play evidences that fact. Once you get tired your technical proficiency and power levels drop. To keep your accuracy and consistency, golf strength exercises are a must.

First, one should have a baseline level of conditioning in order to maintain consistent play and avoid fatigue. Next thing the surfaces in the minds of most golfer is the power swing.

Speed of Movement The golf swing is a very technical movement and one should start at slow speeds to avoid injury. These are multi-joint motions should start with stretches that cover the full range of motion. A few simple stretching and flexibility excercises will set you up for when you use your muscles as a unit in the golf swing.

Short intense workouts with loads and speeds as close as possible to the actual club will aid in you power swing. For longer workouts, a heavy resistance training used over a full range of motion will benefit you best in your stretching/flexibility training.

Take time to warm up before your swing. Not only do you avoid injury but you will experience greater swing speeds.

Off season power training will result significant improvements in your flexibility, swing club head speed, swing speed, distance, power, ball speed, balance, stability and overall scores.

Golf Pitching Tips To A Up Hill Green

Many golfers misjudge the effect of the slope’s contour on the bounce and roll of the ball.

Club selection is key. Instead of using a sand wedge, try a pitching wedge and take a three-quarter swing taking some loft off the club. The ball flies lower but runs more to the target, leaving you closer to the pin than a sand wedge.

You want to play this shot as a normal pitch shot. Address the ball with a slightly open stance so that the left side (right-handers) are enabled to clear through impact and but make sure the club face is aimed directly at the target. Be sure to position the ball toward the middle of the stance.

So there you have it. Position the ball toward the middle of the stance. Make sure the left arm and shaft are straight. Aim the club face at intended target. Use the three-quarter swing. Accurate pitching helps produce lower scores.
