When you lift your head you focus too much on the result rather than the
ball. When standing over your putt keep your eye on the ball and form
the mental image of the path to the hole.

Putting

A 3 degree opening or closing of a putter blade is almost impossible
for the naked eye to detect!

If your Putter is 1 degrees off line from 5-ft your putt will be
1 " off center.

If your Putter is 1 degrees off line from 10-ft your putt will
be 2 " off center.

If your Putter is 1 degrees off line from 20-ft your putt will
be 4 " off center.

If your Putter is 3 degrees off line from 5-ft your putt will be
3 " off center.

If your Putter is 3 degrees off line from 10-ft your putt will
be 6" off center.

If your Putter is 3 degrees off line from 20-ft your putt will
be 12" off center.
